VP of Communications
Ashley Huston is vice president of communications for Curiosity, overseeing all external and internal communications strategies for the global factual media company and streaming service. Huston joined Curiosity in January 2021 and is an experienced leader with success driving digital innovation and brand evolution across news, sports and media brands.
Prior to joining Curiosity, Huston led global communications for Quartz, where she led the communications strategy and shaped the messaging and brand reputation for the innovative digital news organization during a time of significant change and subscription growth. She also prioritized company culture through internal communications and diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Huston previously served as senior vice president and chief communications officer for Dow Jones and The Wall Street Journal, where she led the global communications strategies that drove the Journal’s digital transformation, promotion of high-quality journalism, brand and content expansion, as well as corporate and crisis communications. She also served as senior vice president and deputy head of communications at News Corp, parent company of Dow Jones.
Huston has previously held communications roles with Rubenstein Communications, ESPN and CNN. She is a graduate of The University of Georgia’s Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication with a bachelor’s degree in public relations.
